Hey Fam,
So sweet Drake took a golf club to the head!

Mon.
Played soccer and football, almost didn't get my letter from KJ scary HUH! Bro Williams called and said he loved church yesterday! Our whole night fell through, people don't keep there appointments, or respect our time--AGAHAHGFGHAH!!! Missions are stressful.

Tues.
National Weed Smoking Day! I got a letter in the mail from KJ that was neat! I flipped on Elder Morrell. We knocked a whole neighborhood and he didn't say a word the whole entire time! He keeps promising me he wants to change, and if I do this or that he will change; but he truly has no desire to change. Later that night we had a lesson with Bro Williams, he is being baptized May 8Th. It will be NEAT, it went well, I realized I need to teach from the heart and by the spirit instead of trying to use props! Our ward mission leader left for Yemen.

Wed.
Weekly planning, Elder Morrell flipped on me, and I loved every second of it, I was so happy to finally see that boy have some FIRE! He told me he isn't going to change, nor desires to, and to back off and leave him alone, but we counseled and all is well! We went and talked to the Wilkins, Mike and Jenny, they are amazing. A family of 8. I love it!! So cool, so real, sincere seekers of truth. We talked to them with our 1st counselor Brother Compton, it went well.

Thurs.
5:30 zone conference the sun was so cool driving there it was foggy coming out of the clouds. Zone conference focused on our purpose and what we need to do better as missionaries. In Jacksonville, Florida they are the 5Th highest baptizing mission in the U.S. and that is because they extend 100 baptismal invitations a week per companionship! Ca-razy huh! We went and had a pig pickin, once a year they do an activity Zone Conference, so we got to play all these sweet games it was so much fun! Elder Rodriguez is the man, he is from Boise; a Spanish missionary I call him E Rod. He is going home next transfer!

Fri.
I made a list of families that I have no clue who they are, but they are on the roster, we went and saw 3 of them set 3 appointments and they are all part member families it is amazing. One less active, Brother Howell, has three horses and invites us to go riding with him, but I guess we aren't allowed. I was so sad when I heard that! We went and made trophies for a guy that has a trophy shop next to Gandolfo's, and we taught a little. It was neat, we made 66 karate kid trophies!

Sat.
Biked to Brother William's, gave him a huge Book of Mormon; so he can see it. We worked in Princeton from 12 to 6:30. It was a super long day. We didn't find a lot but were able to talk with them for awhile and soften some hearts for future elders, I hope! We came back to Elder Dealba's baptism, he was so excited, but he forgot his G's, so I had to run to the apartment and get them and missed the baptism! But I guess that is what friends are for. I love him to death! That night the Malatestas called and said it has been a long week and that they won't be coming to church, that they are going to the zoo, it crushed my heart. That night I started a fast, that I may know what to do with them and that Mike and Jenny may come to church, and yea... went to bed depressed!

Sun.
Went to church still fasting, and Mike and Jenny had not showed up and it was like 9:15, I said a prayer, came up out of my prayer and looked back and I had to take 2.... because there was Mike and Jenny at the church! They loved it, it was so neat to have them there! We had a lesson that night with the William's and Jordan Haye's was our exchange; a young junior, who is the man. I feel bad, the William's kids, Brittney and Zachary live in a divided house, with there mom being a baptist, but more anti-Mormon then anything, and Larry William's wants them to do what they think is right. Their son was upset, and stormed out. He said he was about to rip in two, and that he is getting pulled in so many directions and then he came back in, and I comforted him and gave him some counsel! AHHH....when it is all said and done, I love my mission!!! It is getting so hot here and the humidity is getting high. I am running every morning! I love it so much. The GOSPEL IS THE TRUTH! I love you family and I hope all is well.

Does that look like a blue shirt to you?

Nice Shades Dude!

The Fantastic Four!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank Heavens the church is true!!
Dear Family, how are things in the great west!
Here are some pictures from this week!

Mon.
We went and played beach volleyball with Orion and Dalton, 2 members who are in our neighboring ward, the Clayton ward! They are such great kids and will make great missionaries!!!I bought a sweet wireless sensor for my bike. Tells me the time, the tempture, and all sorts of crazy stuff! After volleyball, we went on an exchange with Elder Cadet my district leader, he is the black kid, the man throwing up the deuces in the picture! We had an amazing lesson with a super amazing family! The Wilkins a family of 8... Hello Johnson family! They went to the North Carolina zoo this weekend and read the Book of Mormon the whole way there! It is like a 2 hr drive! So amazing to me how my patriarchal blessing is being fulfilled her in Smithfield with finding faithful families that will strengthen the church!

Tues.
We went and stained Bro Gandolf's deck! Service baby he is the man, told us Phil won the masters! He is a huge Mets fan just sports junkie in general! But such a good guy with a strong testimony, and an amazing DELI so much better then Schlotzsky's! I got a nice letter from Grandma Mortensen and one from CHAYDO MY NADO I miss dough so much I pray he serves here in NC and I could train him! We took Bro Williams' kids to the mutual activity, it was a date night they Loved it! Our ward mission leader Bro Nearing is leaving for 60 days to Yemin, idk where that is but pray for him and his safe return I need him back!

Wed.
Temple day, please tell me ya'll went to the 7 o'clock session? The temple is so neat I love and learn something new every time! The spirit is so strong! We switched back with Elder Morrell, it was tough being back because Elder Cadet has been out 18 months and is out going and loves the work, I just continue to pray for Elder Morrell. We stopped by a less-active family, a cute girl answered the door, I was shocked but asked about her mom, Elder Morrell was like socially awkward and started giggling about the cute girl! I have to strive to be obedient, I hope I don't' get transferred, there should be 13 baptisms next transfer, my brother Elder McCoulgh said that would be a mission record! Oh baby here I come, it is just hard because the people notice Elder Morrell doesn't really care about them or the work! Like Bro. Williams called, I was driving and Elder morrell answered and he said I have some good news can I talk to Elder Petersen, he got so upset that he didn't want to talk to him, but I thought, what have you done to try to build up the relationship with him!

Thurs.
District meeting was good, it was on chapter one our purpose, then on companionship unity! IT is hard to be unified when you companion is on MUTE! I got a cool letter with a sling shot and a ring and piece of gum and cool post card from Kels and MAMMA AND PAPA J! Grandma Dora hooked me up with a super cool letter too! Pretty depressing day, but ended good, but we went over to Mary and Quincy's house and their daughter got baptized, Easter Sunday at some apostate church!

Fri,
We had a super sweet lesson with Liana Dyer she is coming to church next week! So neat our ward member we were with has like baptized so many and has been a huge help in everything we have taught, his name is Bro. Holzhauer, he suggested we say a prayer in the car before we went in and did the lesson, and it worked the spirit was so strong I am going to do that every time! We had weekly planning, which becomes companionship inventory! Elder Morrell straight up said he doesn't care... Oh well, trail of my faith!

Sat,
One year ago I saw KJ in Chayden's basement, one year went by fast crazy how I am almost done with 1/4 of my mission, time flies so precious on a mission I can't waste it! We biked a total of 25 miles today I am loosing some weight here in this 85 degree weather! I weighed 238 one month ago, this morning I weighed 210! Crazy my pants don't fit and my shirts look like a parachute!I would rather them be to big then small though! We went and visited with our 2 families, OH HOW I LOVE THEM!!! BAPTIZE, BAPTIZE, BAPTIZE, their lifes will be so blessed! Pray for the Wilkins and Maletestas.

Sun,
Maletastas came to church, he is Italian, looked like the Mafia in his suit! His family is so neat and his wife is great! The Wilkins's the family of 8 were a no show we haven't been able to teach them yet but I hope next week they will come. We would of had 11 investigators at church instead we only had 5! We set a day with Bro Williams though, MAy 8th! WOOT WOOT. I was so sad and depressed when the Wilkins didn't come! We had dinner at a sweet young couples home, the Cecil's, they want missionaries to live with them, maybe some day that is what the church is striving for missionaries to live with members! I love this ward everyone is so unique and special to me, ahhh... I love it!

Well family hope you have a great week pray for me and for Larry Williams and the Maletesta and Wilkins' families I hope you went to the 7 am session Wed! Love you long time all is well and hot and sweaty in NC!

Miracles in Smithfield!

So Leighton Murri is going to Cali huh? Wow Crazy
Mon,
Elder Morrell is such a nice kid, I just don't think he cares about his mission. He waits for me every night, so we can say our personal prayers together, such a nice kid! All prayers are truly answered! I thought my camera was broken, but it ended up being just the card! I prayed for it and all was well the next morning, such a miracle! We played soccer today it was so hot 80 degree weather. It is so crazy and hot I was sweating to death! But me and Elder Morrell just need to strive on being obedient and Miracles will happen I know it!

Tues,
Study is so hard we are all so young and distract each other so much, it is ridiculous! We met this Hispanic man Pedro so cool, I talked with him, we taught him the 1st then the Spanish came over and we all taught him the 2nd (except Elder Morrell), the kid is so shy, I gotta break his SHELL! They set a date with him, he was so amazing! It brought tears to my eyes I felt the spirit so strong!
Sister Allen the most amazing teaching coordinator ever, her husband had knee surgery we went and gave him a blessing, and it was so so cool! Then sister Allen was like Elder Petersen, your eyes are as blue as that little girl Ruby at Conference! I was like if you think mine are you should see KJS! It was neat she was nice and we had a good day!

Wed,
Our District Leader, Elder Cadet. He is amazing and is from Brooklyn, but originally from Haiti, crazy huh! He is so lovable. We had a neat district meeting on prayer, how powerful it is, such a simple tool but yet so much power with in that tool! WE had a miracle, Bro Holzhauer our exchange, was amazing he is so bold and everytime he has taught with us, they have been baptized! So we took him with us to this investigator that has three kids and was slacking! He straight up asked her are you even interested she said no not really, but I knew she knows it was true and I bore my testimony to her before we departed and boom! She says Elder Petersen I want this in my life. Can you come back not this Friday, but the next and we set a return appt! MIRACLE

Thurs,
I miss Elder Croft, we do weekly planning and like he kept me focused, always reeled me back in! But Elder Morrell just really doesn't care so I have to keep myself focused! Totally crazy, but I am doing it with my faith in the Lord. Elder Dealba and Elder Naylor are so out going and they are having so such success, Elder Morrell is so shy, it is hard, but we talked about it and he feels like nobody cares about him being out here, I felt way bad, his twin brother got called to Argentina and everyone was so excited for him when he opened his call, so I feel bad for him but I am just trying real hard to get him excited! He said wow, Elder Petersen nobody has ever cared about me like this before! BUT ELDER PETE DOES! We taught the Williams the plan of salvation they are our main investigator but it was so boring I wanted to like rip my eyes out! But, Bro Williams daughter is a sincere seeker of truth so good things should happen with her and him hopefully!

Fri,
Elder Morrell just doesn't care about anything! But I love him! So I decided to move our beds and study rooms out of the Spanish, because we all used to study and sleep together but it was to distracting so we are not doing that anymore and it has helped, our studies have been so much better! We had 2 neat lessons this evening with recent converts!

Sat,
WE biked all the way to Four Oaks, and were able to see Lianna Dyer so cool, she gave us some cake it was her sons b-day! Instead of focusing on her kids this time around I think I am going to focus on her! I got a sweet nice letter from KJ and from Julie and Lexi, and my cool Tie, then a letter from the mission office that sent back my memory card, that I sent to you guys because I put tape over the whole envelope and I guess you can't do that. So I will send it again today! So we had 3 lessons planned this evening and one stop bye, 2 canceled so we went to Bro. Comptons house! So he could trade cars with his wife, he is a member of the bishopric and had been fellow shipping bro Maletesa! The coolest family ever! They are classy people, the kind of people my patriarchal blessing talks about that will strengthen the church! I said to Bro. Compton, lets go to the Maletesta he goes lets call him first, so we did and he didn't answer so we talked to Bro Compton's wife, then we got in the car and he said Elder Petersen where are we going, and I said the Maletestas, he goes if you say so, and there we went and boom! They were all outside. We talked with them forever his wife is an amazing lady, she had a dream that they became Mormon and moved to UTAH. I told her to stay here in Smithfield. They are such classy people and are coming to to church this week! FAMILIES THAT IS ALL I WANT to find! WE got back home and the Spanish Elders looked like someone died, and it was so sad, that miracle man Pedro they had a lesson with him on the word of wisdom and he through away his beer, cigarettes, lighters, and coffee, and before they got home he called them swearing saying he was going to kill them and that they can't come back. When I found him he was like, mi casa your casa! Idk this work is tough!

Sun,
I love church, testimony meeting was amazing, and then we had a super spiritual gospel principles class, it was so good for our FIVE INVESTIGATORS at church SWEET HUH! Then we had dinner at the Gandolfs! SO good, so amazing, he came out with us on exchanges and we had a great lesson with the Williams so good to have a good exchange with a strong testimony that is also out going when your companion is shy! Then another miracle this referral I got, named mike, I called him to confirm our appt with him! I talked with him for 20 minutes, he has six kids 5 under the age of 8he said he asked for miracles and met the elders in Goldboro but he lives in our area. We went to his nieces soccer tournament and his brother's fiance is Mormon. He was like I cant wait for you all to come over tomorrow night! (Which is tonight) because I keep getting all these signs I should be Mormon! SO AMAZING MIRACLES EVERYWHERE

Well we have an appt with him tonight. Elder Cadet is exchanging with ELder Morrell the spirit should be strong in our lesson tonight and buddy I can't wait! I love you all. Pray for me and thanks for the tie and the letter. I love it, it means the world to me. I am wearing right now as I type, Till we email again, I love you and pray for you.

With Love & Respect,

Elder Taylor BLAINE Petersen

Hey Fam,
It has been a good week and ended well, especially with General Conference! President Monson is the man! We found a miracle, the Spanish gave us a referral but it was phony, but the lady there had been prepared by the LORD! So neat!! We are teaching her this week.
I loved all the talks in conference. I stayed awake for all 5 sessions and took notes from every talk, 26 pages of notes to be exact, so many powerful and bold statements we can use, in contacting, in there talks!
I loved President Monson joking about his wife and how much he loves and appreciates her!
Julie B. Beck's talk reminded me of mom, that the lord has placed huge responsibility on her, and that when mom found disappointment she never found it in herself.
M Russell Ballard's talk about how there is no better example then a righteous mother because she knows where she is going, and how mom convinced kenz to stop wearing flip flops to church! Correction is love, that means a lot in the mission field, I have learned! Thought about how Kels was always such a good example trying to help me get on a mission; not tempting me; By always being modest even in her swim suits!
Conference was just so neat like everything I had been testifying of for three months is true! To hear the Prophets voice at first brought tears to my eyes, like I felt the spirit so strong at the beginning of conference. He is called of God!!!!

Elder Perry's talk, mom always tryed to teach us in the home everything she could!

I loved Elder Holland's baptist preacher talk and how lust vs love and how he gets all giddy about Sister Holland and yells from the roof tops how much he loves her! He is so bold, so powerful, what I'd do for one day with him as my comp!

I learned a lot in Dallin H Oaks' talk on healing with the priesthood.

Ronald Rasbands talk was so cool , he looked like Papa Nit!

David Beck got me so excited for Drake to get the Aaronic priesthood. I hope he realizes what he holds, that he has more power in his pinkie then the Pope does in his whole body!!! He will honor his priesthood.

Dieter F Uchtodrf was talking to me and Dad about patience and love, I enjoyed it fully though!

Then Elder Eyrings talk on diligence.
Then THOMAS S MONSON, all the things he counseled, you guys counseled me not to do; don't date till I am sixteen, and make your dates meet your parents. I loved all of it!
Then the story of the Elder who wrote his family every week and they are going to the temple. THE GOSPEL IS SO TRUE. I loved his counsel at the end of the last session to look to the light house of the Lord! North Carolina is the light house state and I am doing the Lords work!

I love all of you,

Love Elder Taylor Blaine Petersen
